I tend to treat weekends like I haven’t had one in years (obviously untrue) and I won’t have one again for decades (completely absurd.) Essentially, I try to cram in too many activities and events, leaving no time for rest and relaxation.
So you can imagine how, when Sunday night rolls around, I literally crash into bed and remain there for as long as humanly possible – which is a decent amount of time given my lack of Monday morning commute. However, I’ve found that the best remedy for an exhausted morning isn’t to rest – it’s to run. A body in motion stays in motion, right? Right. Or something like that.
