Hola amigas! I am finally making a triumphant return to the blogging world after a wonderful two week hiatus. It felt awesome to unplug for awhile and concentrate on my friends, family and my AMAZING Punta Cana vacation : ) – check back for more on that next week!
Stopping in today for a quick holiday decor DIY post – and linking up with the amazing Anne of Anne In Residence! I recently discovered her blog and I’m kicking myself for not finding it sooner – though I did enjoy spending a full half hour reading old posts! She’s got a great feature called Pin to Present where you share Pinterest projects you actually completed. Maybe we don’t get around to making every single crafty creation we Pin, but this is a great way to showcase the awesome stuff we do make!
I pinned this holiday mantle inspiration and immediately headed to Michael’s for supplies. I think it turned out pretty well!
I found EVERYTHING I needed at Michael’s – the wooden letters, spray paint (gold and cream), twig wreath, white berry branches, and cardboard star. If you look farther down the mantle, I also purchased and added a white reindeer and 3 clay trees. We already had the lighted garland, so after a few rounds of spray painting and some berry arranging, the entire display was complete!
What Christmas decor have you pinned lately for inspiration? The next time I move, I’m looking forward to adding holiday pillows to my everyday furniture, and definitely keeping with a cream/gold/red theme – my favorite colors of the season : )
Happy Thursday – It’s good to be back!
