I am all about social media, technology, emails, texting and everything else that’s come about in the past decade or so, trust me. I wouldn’t have a job (in digital marketing) without all of that. But man, oh man is there no greater feeling than opening a piece of mail or a package delivered right to your door. Especially one you weren’t expecting!
Case in point – my Summer Beauty Box from Walmart. I had totally forgotten about signing up for this subscription back in April (when I got my last box) so it was an awesome surprise to come home from work to a box full of new goodies! Let’s break down the beauty:
This season’s product samples included Schwarzkopf shampoo and conditioner, Vaseline lotion, Burt’s Bees Lip Stain, Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, Arm & Hammer toothpaste and adorable nail stick-ons – I swear these are coming back in a big way!
I absolutely love that everything is trial sized – it gives me the opportunity to try out some new products without shelling out too much money before knowing whether or not I’ll love the item. It also helps me out when packing for the ridiculous amount of trips I take. (As you read this I’m probably headed up to Newport, Rhode Island for a long weekend bachelorette party!)
So far, my favorites from this box are definitely the hair products and lip stain. I just got fresh highlights before this trip so I love any product that promises color longevity. It also smells amazing which is definitely a requirement for my shampoo and conditioner. And I NEVER wear lipstick (and actually gasped when I first put it on) but I’m slowly getting used to the bright color and I can’t wait to spice up an outfit one night this weekend ; )
As I use up the rest of these awesome samples, I’ll be sure to update y’all on Instagram if anything jumps out at me as purchase-worthy (check #WalmartBeautyBox!) I always buy products after reading rave reviews from other bloggers – It’s so much easier to decide when you’ve got a recommendation.
Have a wonderful rest of your week, and be sure to check back soon for DIY bachelorette goody bags and a full trip recap – with plenty of selfie stick group photos to laugh at, I’m sure! ; )
