Lighting – up my desk at work! Feeling festive with my Charlie Brown tree and a string of mini lights, and looking forward to our company holiday party next Friday (and our team lunch the week after!) December is a weird month in terms of work with so many people off but we always make the most of the crazy – including plenty of decorated desks.
Spending – the weekend in Avalon with my parents, Tim’s family, and a bunch of his extended family as well! We’re starting off with an adults-only indoor/outdoor cocktail party at The Reeds and I’m SO excited to finally see this fancy place in person. What do you think – red dress or green dress? Gold heels are a definite either way!
Choosing – to spend my free time wisely. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle but I’ve been craving alone time more than ever and actually allowing it to happen. I usually can’t just relax if I’ve got anything on a to-do list but lately I’ve been working on prioritizing what needs to be done and making room for things I enjoy. Currently reading “Beartown” and loving it so far – Full review coming soon!
Sending – out our Christmas cards now that our return labels have arrived from Shutterfly! I love getting holiday mail – but especially cards with photos or life updates. And NO GLITTER, please and thank you ; )
Singing – Josh Groban’s version of the Little Drummer Boy and Lincoln Brewster’s O Holy Night. There are a lot of classic holiday songs that can’t be beat but those are a few of my favorite modern versions to sing along to – but only in the car where no one can hear me : )
