Oh Friday. How I missed you.
Just a quick timeout here from my regularly scheduled program of sunshine, happiness and Pinterest: I’m really hating how much I “work for the weekend.” Here I am promoting “drinking the day, ” living for every moment and appreciating the small things, and yet I count down the HOURS until 5:30 hits every day, especially Friday.
I know this is most likely because I’m not yet used to working 8 hour days with a 45-60 minute commute each way – working from home spoiled me (well, not my bank account.) I just feel like I still need to find my balance – time for work, fitness, my relationship and friendships, my family, “adult chores,” and every other little thing I want to accomplish – including blogging! It’s hard. Any suggestions?
But I digress. I’ve been in a pinning frenzy lately, and I can’t wait to actually create some of the things I’ve put on my Taste and Must Make boards! Don’t worry – I’ll share the outcomes ; )
Oh my. Is this real life? I don’t know. I don’t care. Just get me that donut, immediately. (Please?)
I go through stages of pinning different kinds of things, and I’m definitely in a “house porn” stage currently. I think it’s because 2 of my friends recently bought their first homes, so I’ve had ample opportunity to think about how I want MY future house to look. Anyway, this exterior is downright drool-worthy, am I right?
Truer words were never, ever spoken. My mom recently stated that she thought champagne toasts at weddings were overrated, and that she’d rather hold up her glass of gin and tonic instead. I promptly uninvited her from my future wedding. Champagne is the nectar of GODS. Or if it were, I’d definitely pray more.
Who even THOUGHT OF THIS? Feta? Spinach? MAC AND CHEESE? I’m making this ASAP – I know my insanely picky brother won’t eat it, but I don’t care – more for me. And let’s not overlook the obvious best part: ONE PAN, people. One. Measly. Pan.
Annnnd we’ll end with quite possibly the easiest and most adorable DIY decoration on the planet. I’ll be making these for every occasion that calls for a baked good from now on, and probably some that don’t. Glitter, sprinkles, sequins. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!
I used a lot of caps in those last couple of paragraphs. Sorry if it felt like I was yelling. I was exclaiming, I promise. It’s like laughing with you, instead of laughing at you. Or something…
Happy weekend friends! : )
