Wedding season. After seeing it immortalized by the great Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, I excitedly entered my mid-twenties ready for beautiful venues, delicious food and parties that don’t stop. And that’s exactly what I got – except those never-ending parties came with the not-so-awesome side dish of exhaustion and hangovers.
We had TWO weddings this weekend. TWO. I can barely recuperate from a normal night out by the time the work week starts again, and I was expected to roll out of bed Monday morning after an open bar reception the night before?! I think this means I’m getting old, so today’s title is quite fitting: I’m singing the blues to mourn the end of my nonchalant days of youth. (Yes, I know I’m still young. I just can’t party like it any more ; ) )
If you’re like me – always cold, especially during air conditioning season – then this outfit is a perfect balance for you, too. It’s hot in Philadelphia this week, hitting the 90’s some days, but most buildings have the air cranked waaaay down. Cue shorts and sleeves.
You simply cannot go wrong with denim and white. Throw in a pop of color like this adorable bag from Target, and you’ve got the perfect summer outfit. And isn’t my mendhi (henna) beautiful? Just one of the (many) amazing aspects of attending an Indian wedding : )
Shirt: Old Navy, Shorts: American Eagle, Shoes: Old Navy, Bag: Target
Are you also singing the blues after a wonderful weekend? Only 3 more days until the next one! I’m just excited to have ZERO plans for once. And by zero plans I mean I plan on sleeping late and parking my butt by the pool with a cold beer. Cheers!
