It’s almost that time of year – the time where we start planning ahead, setting goals and making resolutions. It’s almost 2017 and I love a new year almost as much as I love the fresh start feeling of September. Something about school starting still gets me, even 5 years post-grad : ) And with those resolutions and fresh starts, we all probably aim for the same things – to be happy and healthy for the next 365 days and beyond. Tim and I recently had the opportunity to check out some brands who are ready to help us achieve those goals and now it’s time to share them with you – It might be a bit early to make your resolutions but these awesome products make great Christmas gifts too!
Old Spice Products
Description: Old Spice Pomade provides Moderate Hold and Low Shine Finish, for hair that’s re-workable, and Sweat Defense Anti-Perspirant is Old Spice’s gold standard delivering stronger and longer sweat protection for all-day dryness.
Tim’s Take: I typically use wax but I was happy at how well the Old Spice pomade worked and reworked on my dry hair, as I typically apply product straight out of the shower. The pomade fixed my bedhead with just a tiny amount, both products smell great, and of course you can never have too much deodorant.
Spire Wellness Tracker
Description: Working with leading experts on the respiratory system, digital health and medical/wellness devices, Spire is the only wearable that increases mindfulness and productivity by tracking healthy breathing patterns reflecting our state of mind. (Save $10 with this link!)
Tim’s Take: I like the unique, natural and modern design – it looks hand crafted instead of mass produced. The Spire is not something I would have purchased for myself but now that I own one, I’m definitely interested in the technology and science behind the product.
Casio Edifice Watch
Description: Casio’s EDIFICE timepieces possess features including Bluetooth, multi-layered dials, world time, daily alarms and more. Made with strong, comfortable band materials of resin and stainless steel, each style exudes an attractive, sophisticated look
Tim’s Take: I own at lot of watches but this Casio model is definitely unique – different than anything I own or anything I would have picked out. It looks like a normal watch but it has a lot of bells and whistles like solar power and bluetooth, which I thought would be trivial but are turning out to be really useful. And the 3D globe feature is awesome.
2(X)IST Athletic Gear
Description: The 2(X)IST Men’s Activewear collection is designed to support you from total relaxation to game changing performance. Featuring moisture wicking fabric and innovative design, these pieces are just a small glimpse into the healthy lifestyle of the 2(X)IST man and woman.
Tim’s Take: The shirt design is a bit too modern for me, but on a younger guy with a different physique, I’m sure it would look great. The shorts are comfortable but I’m a little confused as to why the compression section is so long. I would be interested to see other clothing made by 2xist, especially a nice pair of joggers.
