For those of you who asked about the homemade pizza rolls from Monday’s post…
Step 1: Spend an afternoon playing cornhole at the beach
Step 2: Hear 5 hungry boys ask 23472938425 times when dinner will be.
Step 3: Head upstairs to the refridgerator and pull out a random assortment of ingredients until you find a combination that works. Ghetto happy hour appetizers, we call this.
We took a package of crescent rolls, spread Tomato and Basil sauce over them generously (it’s going to ooze out, so you might as well go crazy!) and added American cheese, parmesean, pepperoni, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and crushed red peppers. Roll them up, pinch the ends, spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray, and bake according to the crescent directions.
Voila! Homemade pizza rolls. Beware, if you only have one package of crescent rolls, the entire snack will be gone in a few minutes. Luckily, we didn’t have to wait too long for dinner : )
