I searched high and low for over the knee boots this fall and winter – tried on multiple pairs in-store and at home, used coupon codes and rewards points, and still couldn’t find what I was looking for. Feel free to sing that last bit a la U2. But at last! I returned not one but TWO pairs to DSW one bitter cold Monday evening, decided to quickly browse the boot aisle (even though I’d perused extensively online) and THEN I SAW THEM.
These Franco Sarto over the knee suede beauties were exactly what I had been looking for. A shade of brown, a low but comfortable heel, and with enough strength to stay up on my damn skinny leg for more than 3 minutes at a time. Plus they were marked at 30% in-store and I had a $20 reward : ) I’ve worn them a few times now and I think they’re crazy comfortable for long periods of time – like any shoes they needed to be broken in a little but a thick, cozy pair of socks can help.
My particular pair is on sale right now for just under $100 – but here are a few more of my favorites if you’d like to shop around! Check out this second pair by Franco Sarto with a lower heel and 4 color options – and here’s a beautiful Vince Camuto wedge option – Now I’m over here trying to justify buying a pair in black!
Do you like the over the knee trend? I showed Tim a picture of them (standing alone in DSW) and he was so shocked at the height of them that he questioned the need for pants. (Side note: Not sure Tim understands pants) But now that he’s seen them on, he’s a big fan. I hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday so far – Check back on Friday for a guest post from a surprise contributor! ; )
