Honestly, is there any better smell than your skin after a day spent covered in sunscreen and salty air? The answer is no. There is nothing in the world better than that sticky, sunshine-y feeling of being completely and utterly content, laying back in a lounge chair with a cold Corona in your hand.
TBH (cool kid slang) I absolutely love the changing of seasons in PA. Going from hot summer days to crisp fall ones, with the transition in between. Changing from sandals to boots, swimsuits to sweaters, and drinking coffee by the fire while snuggling up in my llama blanket. But at the same time, I’m not ready for shore weekends to end. Especially ones as good as this!
We arrived late Friday and headed over to Tim’s uncle’s new condo – they had made settlement earlier that day and we wanted to celebrate! After a few drinks we headed home to rest up for the next day. The weather wasn’t ideal on Saturday but we played a lot of cornhole and made some delicious homemade pizza rolls. I took a sunset run after dinner and then we had a blast playing games with the entire family all night.
Sunday was absolutely gorgeous. Blogging, breakfast, beach and a birthday – the boys golfed and then we hung by the pool for the rest of the afternoon. I’m currently sitting on the deck while writing this – deciding whether or not the payoff of exhaustion is worth staying another night. Update: yup, but coffee was necessary!
How was your weekend? We’ve got a great week ahead of us – Tim’s hockey games, trying out our first Blue Apron meals and watching the Union play, all before a weekend filled with birthday shenanigans. We refuse to grow up ; )
